Argentina’s emissions standards have been based on European standards and use similar test methods, but have been implemented under a separate timetable. Implementation of Euro 4 and 5 standards was delayed in 2012, but as of January 1, 2013 heavy-duty vehicles met the Euro IV standard and light-duty vehicles met the Euro 5a standard.
