Canada
Canada has historically aligned its environmental regulations for vehicles and fuels with the US. For light-duty vehicles, Canada has adopted emissions and fuel quality standards equivalent to US Tier 3, and greenhouse gas standards for model years 2017–2025. For heavy-duty vehicles, Canada has issued a proposal that is closely aligned with US Phase 2 efficiency standards. These regulations are developed and enforced by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
